No. Pro Tools LE is a very limited version of the Pro Tools software and cannot be updated. You must uninstall the LE version prior to installing Pro Tools Express M-Audio/Akai Pro Edition.

The iLok is a USB smart key that holds licenses for participating protected software products. A single iLok can store over 500 separate licenses. You can have licenses from multiple software publishers on the same iLok, and multiple iLoks can be connected to a computer to authorize software products. With an iLok, you can carry all of your software licenses with you wherever you go. To run the Pro Tools Express M-Audio/Akai Edition it is required that the iLok be plugged into a USB port on your computer. For more information on iLok's click here.

Please click Cancel to close the software. Plug in your Akai Professional / M-Audio hardware and restart the software. If the message continues with the hardware plugged in you may want to try using a different USB port, or a different USB cable.
No. Pro Tools Express M-Audio/Akai Pro Edition requires that your Akai Professional / M-Audio hardware is plugged in to your computer to unlock and run the software.
Pro Tools Express supports buffer sizes of 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, or 2048. You will need to configure your I/O device through its control panel (outside of Pro Tools) to use a supported buffer size. This process varies by manufacturer; please check your hardware documentation for specific instruction.
Pro Tools is a demanding application that requires full capabilities of your hardware I/O device. For this reason, you’ll need to connect your interface to a USB 2.0 port that delivers the full available bus power, such as a rear USB port on a tower computer. If this does not resolve the issue, then your device is likely not being recognized by your system; please troubleshoot the device connectivity with your hardware manufacturer.
This error is easy to bypass by clicking Ok. You will be able to mix, and create Instrument tracks, but recording will not be possible until plugging in a compatible audio interface with a Mic or Instrument input.
There is no limit on the number of systems you can install the Pro Tools Express software on. However iLok authorization only allows for running a single installation of the software at a time.
